Earthquake aid relief work - May 19

OPERATION ANGEL AID RELIF DISTRIBUTION.

OUTSKIRT OF KATHMANDU VALLEY, VILLAGE - BARIKHEL, VDC - GODAVARI, WARD NO - 2, 4, 5, 7, 8

Our President Bandi Nima Tenzing Sherpa with her team Achyut, Narayan and Tenzing Mingma headed towards the South of Kathmandu Valley this afternoon, with our Toyota - Hilux loaded with rice.

This is the second time that we are providing aid in the same area, our reason for re-visiting this village is that we had missed out a few homes the last time we were here, hence we did not want to leave anyone out. We made sure that every home got the aid that they needed.

It was wonderful to see the village folks come out as the Hilux was entering their village. Some had happy faces and some very sad. There was one lady whom we could see, was desperately asking for food as she had not received any relief as yet.

Our team quickly got started, we distributed numerous bags of rice (30 kg per bag) to the village folks and by the end of it we were still short by about 35 bags of rice. Due to which our team is planned to head back tomorrow so as to complete the distribution of rice to the ones whom we missed today.

Total rice distribution towards this village alone, will be approximately 70 bags. Each bag will hopefully feed a family well over a month.

We would like to congratulate and thank our president and her team for a job well done.
